Commonly Asked Questions about Sex Therapy
How does a session looks like?
Every session begins with a discussion of intentions and needs, followed by varied suggestions of practices we could engage with during the session. These practices will create the boundaries for our session, allowing for a clear idea of what could happen and what will not. Every session ends with integration of the learning experience and discussion of what could happen next time. A session is 90 minutes or longer, depends on the intention and practices planned.
Who is this therapy for?
And who is it not for?
Sexological bodywork can support people who are interested in exploring their erotic wellbeing through embodied awareness, education, and self-directed exploration.
Many clients come with curiosity about their bodies, questions about desire or boundaries, or a wish to develop a more compassionate and informed relationship with their erotic selves. At the same time, this work is not designed to replace psychotherapy, medical treatment, or crisis support. If someone is currently experiencing acute psychological distress, severe trauma responses, or situations that require clinical or medical care, it may be more appropriate to seek support from a qualified therapist or healthcare professional.
My intention is always to work within an ethical and responsible framework. If I believe that another form of support would better serve your needs, I will communicate this openly and respectfully.
